French Coach Romain Folz has revealed Asante Kotoko has contacted him for the role of head coach next season.
Romain Folz disclosed this in an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM.
“I got a contact from someone within Asante Kotoko Board telling me to come and coach the club next season if I’m free. I didn’t have much detail about him but he only said he’s a member of the Board of Directors of the club,” he said.
Kotoko approaching a new coach whilst Mariano Barreto is still at post is not surprising as he is widely expected to quit the club at the end of the season.
According to reports, the Portuguese coach is not happy at the club following attack on him by fans, former players and some leading figures of Kotoko after their loss to Hearts of Oak in Accra.
Romain Folz is not new to Ghana Premier League as he’s coached two teams — Bechem United and Ashanti Golds.
