World’s richest man, Jeff Bezos is set to blast into space on Tuesday, in the first crewed flight of his rocket ship, New Shepard.
The Amazon owner will be joined by his brother Mark, Wally Funk, an 82-year-old pioneer of the space race, and an 18-year-old student.
He becomes the second billionaire after Richard Branson who blast to space 11 days ago.
However, Bezos will reportedly fly higher – 62 miles (100 km) for Blue Origin compared to 53 miles (86 km) for Branson’s Virgin Galactic.
Speaking to Fox Business Network about the adventure, he said he was very happy and not anxious.
“I am excited, but not anxious. We’ll see how I feel when I’m strapped into my seat,” he said.
