It was a weird semi-final in the end as Germany were marginally the better side and created some very good chances but it just wouldn’t go in.
Even right at the end of injury time Lloris saved brilliantly from Kimmich while Gotze flashed a header wide. It was just one of those nights.
Antoine Griezmann goals incresed his personal tally to six for the tournament. He got a standing ovation as he was taken off for Cabaye in the final few minutes from almost the whole stadium at the Stade Velodrome.
Germany will feel hard done by but France won’t care, they face Portugal in Sunday’s final.
