MARIO BALOTELLI’S agent Mino Raiola has fired an insulting parting shot at Jurgen Klopp over his perceived handling of the striker’s departure from Liverpool.
Balotelli, 26, left the Reds for French side Nice this summer after being told he was not part of Klopp’s plans.
The transfer brought to an end a turbulent two years for Balotelli on Liverpool’s books, in which he spent last season on loan at AC Milan.
And Raiola, who has handled many of the major transfers in the Premier League this summer, hit out at Klopp in an interview with Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport
“I won’t judge him as a coach, even if for me he isn’t a great tactician, but I don’t think he realised we were talking about a person. Mario was exemplary, he never complained even when training alone.
“It’s not enough to say Klopp was unfair: he was a piece of s***.”
The agent brokered Paul Pogba’s £89m move from Juventus, while he also secured deals for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Old Trafford club.
As for Liverpool, Klopp also offloaded striker Christian Benteke on Crystal Palace this summer in a £32m deal that freed up space for Sadio Mane’s arrival on the wing.
However, the manager refrained from landing an out-and-out striker to replace Balotelli and Bennteke.
