The Manchester United youngster scored a brilliant hat-trick as England’s Under-21 side beat Norway 6-1 and he was later hailed by his teenage Real Madrid counterpart
Martin Odegaard has heaped praise on fellow wonderkid Marcus Rashford, claiming that the young Manchester United striker is “incredible”.
The Real Madrid and United teenagers faced off as England’s Under-21s beat Norway 6-1 at the Community Stadium in Colchester.
Rashford netted an incredible hat-trick as he continued his meteoric rise, and Odegaard – the most in-demand young player on the planet prior to his move to the Bernabeu – admits that he was blown away by the performance of his counterpart.
“He is an incredible player as we saw,” Odegaard told The Sun.
“And we have seen that in the Premier League too.
“So I think he is just an incredible player.”
Rashford may be involved as United face Manchester City this weekend in one of the most anticipated derbies in recent history.
Odegaard, meanwhile, holds the record as both Real Madrid’s youngest ever player – having made his debut when he was just 16 – and the youngest ever player to appear for Norway’s senior side.
