The Rossoneri have confirmed how long Ghanaian ace Kwadwo Asamoah will be sidelined. Kwadwo, who sustained a Knee injury together with team mate Daniele Rugani in Juventus’ 1-0 win against Palermo on Sunday have been ruled out for nearly 7 weeks.
Kwadwo Asamoah’s injury is a huge blow to the Italian club since Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri have been playing Kwadwo in his preferred midfield position ever since Paul Pogba was sold to Manchester United. The extent of the pairs injuries were confirmed on Sunday .
“The extent of the injuries sustained by Daniele Rugani and Kwadwo Asamoah were clarified following medical examinations today,” a Juve statement read.
“The tests revealed that Asamoah has ruptured the meniscus cartilage, while Rugani has strained the lateral collateral ligament, both in the right knee.
“The former is expected to undergo surgery with both players anticipated to return within around 45 days.”
