Reggie Rockstone, founder of music genre Hip Life and member of Ghana Hip Life music group VVIP has stated that the group is willing to accept breakaway member, Promzy back to the group if he chooses to return to the group.
On Abusua Fm’s weekend entertainment show hosted by Nana Henmaa, Reggie Rockstone said it will be good news to have Promzy back because it is all about music and not war .
“Two heads are better than one and we will gladly accept him. But most people hold an erroneous impression that when someone goes solo it means the person will not do well. The guy has gone solo and he is in the studio doing well but it will be great news to have him back”, he said.
A couple years ago, Promzy left Prodigal and Zeal claiming the group has lost its spark. He was shortly replaced by hip life Grand Papa Reggie Rockstone . Promzy Afrika later revealed that, leaving the group was a suggestion he made because he thought there was no diversity in the music they were doing.
“I didn’t leave VIP like I was leaving, it was a suggestion I brought on the table and I thought my brothers could not understand what I was saying because it got to a point whatever we were doing was the same old thing and one way. We got to a point where we needed to calculate and behave in a matured way and do things that will give back to the society.”
“So I brought the idea but at the end of the day it seems it didn’t work out well. Up to now, I’m still surprised, and I haven’t spoken about this for few years because I’m still in shock. But at the end of the day, things happen for a reason.”
“So many things have gone wrong, and people have said stuff I decided to be quite because I know sometimes things happen. If you try to make certain things work, and it’s not working, you just have to let it be.”
