Apple made good on its “Spring loaded” promise by unveiling a slew of new products at its annual Spring product launch event.
As expected, Apple unveiled an updated iPad Pro with a faster processor, 5G support, a Thunderbolt port so it can connect to more external monitors, and a Mini-LED display. The display will reportedly increase brightness, offer a higher contrast ratio, and improve power efficiencies for a longer battery life, but it will be slightly thicker than current versions .Apple is also adding its powerful M1 chip to its iPad Pro line, enabling several software updates including better graphics, enhanced video effects and augmented reality features.
Apple also announced thatthe iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available in a new purple colour starting April 30, with pre-orders starting this Friday. The Phone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in the new purple colour will ship with iOS 14.5, according to Apple.
Apple continues to sell the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in existing colours, including Black, White, Blue, Green, and (PRODUCT)RED. Pricing starts at $699 for the iPhone 12 mini and $799 for the iPhone 12.
