Award-winning Ghanaian gospel artiste, Diana Antwi Hamilton has hailed the church of Pentecost for the construction of the prison camp at Ejura in the Ashanti region.
Diana Hamilton in an interview with Giovani Caleb on Accra-based television TV3 said it was praiseworthy for the church to construct the prison camp and donate to the Ghana prison service to ease the congestion.
“I applaud the leadership of the church for the initiative of building a multi-purpose prison camp and handing- over to the Ghana Prison Service to help ease the current congestion problems in our prison system”, she said in the interview monitored by Standupgh.
The church of Pentecost has donated a prison camp to the Ghana Prison Service at Ejura in the Ashanti region.
The multipurpose facility has three dormitory blocks with the capacity to accommodate 300 inmates. It has an administration block, a chapel which will serve as a classroom, a football pitch, and a baptistery.
It also has a modern washroom, mechanized boreholes, offices, infirmary, workshops, and other auxiliary facilities.
