News has it that six Chinese who left their homeland to come steal the riches of Ghana have been granted bail by the Accra High Court.
The criminals, Chen Guibin, Yao Zengcan, Lu Xiaobin, Wu Xiaobin, Cheng Churoung, and Xue Lianhua were arrested at Asankragua in the Western Region for engaging in illegal mining.
The six applied for bail at the High Court after the Kaneshie District Court remanded them into police custody last month. They have, however, not been able to meet the terms and requirement of the bail bond.
The ‘galamseyers’ are being held on six counts of possession of firearms without lawful excuse among others, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) reported as sighted by Standupgh.
Government led by Akuffo Addo have declared an all out war on illegal mining as they rob the country of its wealth and also destroy the environment and nearby waterbodies.
