In a report sighted on Myjoyonline.com, Muntaka Mubarak, a member of Parliament’s Health Committee said the leadership of the House is trying to find out the number of MPs yet to take the second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.
If the number is “large”, then they may have to go through a second COVID-19 test following the recording of new cases, he stated. “…but obviously I am not the Speaker but these are some of the suggestions I would carry to the Speaker. Probably we may have to get them to retest,” Mubarak was quoted as saying.
A sitting lawmaker was reported to have tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend. Some members of his family have also tested positive, and they are all in quarantine.
