Legendary Ghanaian music producer, Edward Nana Poku Osei, popularly known as Hammer, in a lengthy post on Facebook slammed renowned entertainment critic, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo for “disrespecting” dancehall musician, Shatta Wale.
Reacting to Shatta Wale’s widely condemned attack on Arnold on United Showbiz show, Hammer said Shatta did no wrong for insulting Arnold because the latter first disrespected him by calling him “confused.”
“Confused is disrespectful no matter how u spin it, and being a journalist certainly gives u no right to call someone confused. If his methods confuse u let it be known cos that would mean it’s relative to u, nothing wrong if his ways confuse u… just don’t try to generalize it as a tag,” he wrote.
But responding to Hammer’s writeup, Arnold expressed his disappointment in the legendary music executive.
In a post on Facebook, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo wrote that he had huge respect for Hammer but after launching a spirited defence of Shatta Wale’s character, he has realized that he is not as wise as he thought.
“LOL! Leaders? We are fucked!
Da Hammer, for a moment I wish you were my peer, contemporary – anka you will clap for me! Out of reverence to your legendary status; which I have now limited to works and not ‘brains’, I will let you sleep easy, very easy!” he said.
