Kufuor is a Snake Under Grass – Sekou Nkrumah

Son of former president Kwame Nkrumah, Sekou Nkrumah has called out President John Agyekum Kufuor over his recent attacks on his dad.

According to Sekou, the second president of the fourth republic is nothing but a big hypocrite and Ghanaians should see him as someone who hates Nkrumah to the core.

Kufuor in a recent interview with Kofi Adoma on Kofi TV said Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was the cause of Ghana’s current woes, as he lacked vision.

But responding to Kufuor’s criticism of his late father, Sekou wrote on Facebook that he is not shocked at what Kufuor is saying because he knows that he has deep hatred for Nkrumah since the early 70s.

“Will it surprise Ghanaians to know that during his days in cells ( political detention after the Acheampong coup that overthrew Busia in 1972), this very Kufuor was running Kwame Nkrumah down?” he said.

“I was told several stories from one of his cell mates about his hatred of Nkrumah!
The first time I met Kufuor was at the Hearts park behind the Arts center, it was at a political rally organized by the opposition somewhere in the 1990s. On the surface he appears like a nice guy, but is a snake under grass! For me personally Professor Adu Boahene (who lost the 1992 elections to NDC) although an opponent of Nkrumah’s ideology was a more honest leader of NPP.”
