Ghanaian music producer, Nana Appiah Dankwah popularly known as Appietus has called out his colleague producers and sound engineers for churning out low quality music.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Appietus said music released in recent years are terrible compared to when he was at his peak from mid to late 2000s.
According to him, songs currently reigning on our airwaves pale in comparison to songs produced by him like “Otoolege”.
“We used to have great productions some year ago but what I am hearing lately is nothing to write home about. It looks like music producers are in a hurry to just make money and are not paying attention to all the elements that make a quality song.
“When I listen to songs like ‘Odo Nnwom’ which I did for Kofi Nti, and ‘Otoolege’ for Ofori Amponsah, I realize I’m not hearing such quality productions these days. We are supposed to move forward not backward, so I am telling every music producers to be up and doing,” he said.
