Ghanaian actress and media personality, Efia Odo and about 10 other #FixTheCountry campaigners who were earlier arrested, have now been granted bail.
Efia Odo took to her social media accounts to subtly confirm her release by sharing a photo of herself at the police custody.
“A cause worth fighting for,” she wrote.
It’s not clear why Efia and the others were arrested by reports say they were arrested for misconducting themselves after the court hearing as they were seen holding placards and taking photographs in front of the court.
Narrating what really happened, one of the conveyors Brownson Adatsi said Efia Odo and the campaigners didn’t do anything illegal for them to be arrested.
“I don’t know the reason for which they have picked them up because they haven’t done anything. They haven’t disturbed the public peace, neither have they disturbed the court proceedings. They were at the entrance, and they have the right to hold whatever they were holding. We will follow it up and know what is next for us,” he told Citi News.
