Ghanaian backing vocalist, Nana Ama Dadzie has called out gospel singer Diana Hamilton for not acknowledging ace music producer Shadrack Lawson a.k.a Shaa when receiving her awards at the 22nd edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Diana Hamilton won four awards at the VGMA22, including the Artiste of the Year and Most Popular Song of the Year for ‘Adom’, which was produced by Shaa
But Nana Ama in a live video on Facebook slammed the musician for taking all the credit for her hit song “Adom”, and failing to acknowledge the producer — Shaa.
“Why are musicians in Ghana so wicked. What is wrong appreciating the person on stage when you win awards? I’m not saying share the awards with Shaa, all I’m saying is appreciate the person,” she said.
‘This is a little message I want to give to our musicians; appreciating somebody is not always about money. It is about letting people know who helped, who did this, who did that.”
