Police Arrest 2 Suspects Over Murder Of #FixTheCountry Campaigner In Ejura

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested two persons in connection with the alleged mob attack and subsequent death of #FixTheCountry Campaigner Ibrahim Kaaka Mohammed, who is popularly known as Macho Kaaka on Facebook.

The mob attack took place in Ejura, Ashanti Region on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Kaaka could not survive the attack after injuries on his head. He passed away on Tuesday morning, June 29, 2021, while receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

His murder comes amid growing culture of silence under President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Earlier today, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, the Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, revealed that two persons have been arrested.

According to him, “The suspects are Ibrahim Issaka alias Anyars and Fuseini Alhassan, currently in custody.”

“Both were arrested at about 10:45pm on Monday 28 June 2021 following police intelligence,” he said.
