Abuga Pele Receives Presidential Pardon On Grounds Of Ill health

A former National Coordinator for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Abuga Pele has reportedly received a presidential pardon.

President Nana Akufo-Addo granted the former Member of Parliament for Chiana/Paga a presidential pardon after reportedly falling critically ill at the Nsawam Maximum Security Prison, from where he was transferred to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital and admitted at the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of the hospital.

Abuga Pele was sentenced to a six-year imprisonment by an Accra High Court in 2018 after he was found guilty of two counts of abetment of fraud and five counts of willfully causing financial loss to the state.
