Ghanaian rapper Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, popularly known by his stage name Yaw Tog, has said he should be credited for making UK-based Ghanaian artiste Stormzy popular in Ghana.
The 19-year-old rap sensation made these bold claims in a recent interview on TV3 when he was asked about perception that Stormzy made his popular following their collaboration on the remix of hit single ‘Sore’.
“I made him more popular here too because people didn’t know Stormzy in Ghana here. We brought magic to ourselves and magic to our brands,” he said.
Yaw Tog’s comment on TV3 have led to avalanche of flaks on social media, with many people labeling him as arrogant and immature.
