My Comment Has Been Misconstrued- Yaw Tog On Making Stormzy Popular In Ghana

Young Ghanaian rap sensation, Yaw Tog has been severely bashed on social media for saying he made UK-based Ghanaian musician Stormzy popular in Ghana.

In an interview on TV3, Yaw Tog said he deserved some credit for making Stormzy popular in Ghana following their hit collaboration “Sore remix”.

“I made him more popular here too because people didn’t know Stormzy in Ghana here. We brought magic to ourselves and magic to our brands,” the 18-year-old diminutive-sized rapper said.

But following the backlash receive from his comment about Stormzy, Yaw Tog has taken to social media to render a partial apology.

According to the Kumasi-based artiste his comment has been misconstrued by the media.

“It’s quite unfortunate a very harmless comment I made during a recent interview has been misconstrued by a few for whatever reason but regardless, we move. It’s Big Mike on the Remix,” he wrote.
