Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia has revealed she will refund allowances paid to her since 2017.
The wife of Vice President Bawumia announced her intention to refund and also reject the presidential spouse salary recommendations of the Prof. Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu committee in a statement released Tuesday morning.
Her rejection of the presidential spouse salary and decision to refund past allowances comes hours after the First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo also declined the offer recommended by the Ntiamoah-Baidu committee.
So in total, the Second Lady is expected to refund a whopping eight hundred and eighty-seven thousand, four hundred and eighty-two (GHc 887,482).
