Entertainment pundit and movie director Socrate Safo has criticized the brandishing of machete in Black Sherif’s “Second Sermon” video.
He made his thoughts known on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review Show hosted by Kwasi Aboagye.
According to him, brandishing of machete somewhat denotes violence and should be condemned.
He said despite his criticism of the video, he is a massive fan of Black Sherif as he compared him his storytelling style of rap to legendary hiplife musician Okomfoo Kwaadee.
Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, a panellist on the same show, disagreed with Socrate on his condemnation of Second Sermon visuals. According to him, it is hypocritical of the film director to make an issue out of the brandishing of machete in the video as it is something normal.
Arnold argued that musicians and actors brandish guns all the time but no one has slammed those artistes or actors who do that.
