Simone Biles has pulled out of the gymnastics women’s team final at Tokyo 2020.
According to a statement released by the official USA Gymnastic Twitter account, Biles withdrew out of the Tokyo Olympics due to medical reasons.
“Simone Biles has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical issue. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions,” the statement read.
Biles, 24, is widely regarded by many as the greatest gymnast of all time. She has won an incredible combined total of 30 Olympic and World Championship medals.
