Medeama goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi and his family are literally begging to join premier league champions, Hearts of Oak.
But eight years ago, the story was different, as they snubbed and even disrespected the Phobians to join rivals Asante Kotoko.
Prior to join Kotoko, Mr. Frank Ofori, father of Eric Ofori Antwi, disrespected Hearts, vowing never to allow his son join the club because players who hail from Bono region court bad luck when they play for Hearts of Oak.
Now with his son nearing a move to Hearts, a remorseful Mr. Ofori has rendered a contrite apology to the Hearts fraternity for his comments years ago.
According to him, he was under the influence of alcohol when he disrespected the league champions.
“I had taken alcohol and I am sorry for making those comments about Hearts of Oak and I regret making them and I ask for their forgiveness,” he told Onua Sports in an interview.
“I apologise for saying that, and now wholeheartedly bless my child for Hearts.”
