Parliament of Ghana has unanimously approved Kissi Agyebeng as Special Prosecutor.
The 43-year-old lawyer was approved on Friday after a recommendation by the Appointments Committee.
Announcing the decision to approve Mr. Agyebeng, the First Deputy Speaker, Joe Osei Owusu said, “The motion is adopted, Mr Kissi Agyebeng has been confirmed as a nominee for the position of Special Prosecutor.”
Mr. Kissi Agyebeng was vetted by the Appointments Committee of Parliament last week.
In the about 1 hour vetting, Martin Amidu’s successor hugely impressed and won the hearts of many Ghanaian, including supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
