Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku has joined Danish club, Vejle BK on a year loan from English Championship side Fulham FC.
This will be third time the 22-year-old is going on a loan from Fulham after his stints with League One sides Accrington Stanley and Plymouth Argyle.
According to the technical manager at Vejle Boldklub, Johan Sandahl, Jerome is a defender with good footballing qualities and that is why they haven’t ruled out signing him permanently.
“Jerome is well trained in Fulham and has his strengths in the duels, and at the same time he can lead the ball forward. We must have competition for the seats in the central defense, and here Jerome will be able to bid. At the same time, we believe that if Jerome has a good season in Vejle, then he can have a great future here. That is why we have also attached a buy-out clause,” Johan Sandahl said.
