Sarkodie has said his predecessors in the rap game inspired him to develop his abilities.
Obour, Okomfour Kwaadee, Obrafour, and Kwaw Kese, are among the rapper’s influences, according to him.
He made this revelation in the studios of Zylofon FM during an interview with Sammy Flex on the Showbiz Agenda.
Sarkodie claimed that he had to learn the techniques of some of the aforementioned ace rappers, particularly Kwaw Kese’s, in order to perform his lines in the same manner as him.
He went on to add that he translated what Kwaw Kese said in Fanti into his own tongue, Twi, but kept the same rhythm to become who he is today.
Sarkodie, as a reminder, is one of Ghana’s and Africa’s most talented rappers. His talent, influence, and brand are unrivaled by any other rapper in the scene, establishing him as Ghana’s King of Rap Music.
