Former president John Mahama has denied widely circulated reports that he paid huge sum of monies to Fix The Country organizers to make the Nana Addo-led government unpopular.
Addressing party executives and supporters in Bolgatanga in the Upper East region on his Thank You tour, Mahama said claims by NPP communicators that he has paid Fix The Country group 1.5 million cedis is absolutely false.
He advised the government to fix the country and stop the propaganda as it won’t work.
“And the government communicators go and lie that I have given them 85,000 pounds. And I have given them 1.5 million cedis for their demonstration—absolute lie! Those old Machiavellian tactics don’t work. I haven’t given them even 1 cedi.”
