Former president John Mahama says his party National Democratic Congress (NDC) will put in place measures to stop the ruling party the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from rigging 2024 elections.
Addressing party executives and supporters in Bolgatanga in the Upper East region on his Thank You tour, Mahama says the party has learnt its lessons following the controversial loss in the 2020 elections.
According to him, his elections are won at the polling station, and when you allow your opponents to rig the elections at the polling stations, not even the Supreme Court can change the result.
“That lesson has been painfully learnt and shall not be forgotten. Elections are won or lost at the polling stations and collation levels and doing everything right, not at the Supreme Court” he said.
