Mohammed Poloo Expresses Interest In Kotoko Coaching Job

Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Poloo has revealed he would like to coach Asante Kotoko who are currently without a head coach.

Portuguese coach Mariano Barreto quit the Kumasi-based club at the end of the season following a disappointing campaign.

In an interview with Otec FM, Poloo, who is popularly known as The Dribbling Magician, said he would not turn down the offer if given the Asante Kotoko coaching job.

He also appealed to Kotoko fans to be patient with the Nana Yaw Amponsah-led administration despite the poor season which the club failed to even win a singly trophy.

According to Poloo, Nana Yaw Amponsah is a great football administrator and when given time, he can take the Fabulous club up like former Asante Kotoko CEO Herbert Mensah.

“Kotoko shouldn’t worry because I believe they will bounce back for us to see the competitiveness in our league, what they need is a good coach, and I can help if only they need my services. There are a lot of coaches in the system, they can also look for one who can help the team to grow.

“I don’t think the management was bad, the fans need to have patience for them, Nana Yaw Amponsah is a dynamic young man who wants to take Ghana Football to another level just like Herbert Mensah did,” he said.
