Flood in New York City caused by remnants of hurricane Ida has led to the loss of at least 22 lives and displaced many from their homes.
Videos on social media showed water gushing out from homes in full force, cars submerged on highways and water pouring into subway stations.
Many Ghanaians on social media upon seeing the shocking video of New York being flooded have slammed popular Ghanaian social media commentator Twene Jonas for making it look like USA was a perfect place to live.
Jonas, who lives in New York, often ridicules Ghana and insult the leaders in his live videos which attracts a large audience.
Among the leaders who have been at the receiving end at Jonas’ sharp tongue includ President Akufo-Addo, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Former president John Mahama, and lately Chief Imam.
