Ghana Receives Additional Doses of Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 Vaccines

Ghana has received additional 244,800 doses of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccines through the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT).

The vaccines arrived at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Thursday, September 2.

This new doses comes on the back of the arrival of its first batch of 177,600 doses on August 8, 2021.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine were administered to hotspot regions Greater-Accra and Ashanti Region.

According to reports, the administration of the vaccines ended with approximately 155,000 vaccines administered in the two regions.
