Four European coaches, including former assistant manager of Manchester City, have applied for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.
This comes a day after the sacking of former Black Stars player CK Akonor asthe head coach of the senior national football team.
The names of the four coaches who have applied for the Black Stars coaching role are Domènec Torrent, Lucien Favre, Alain Giresse and Francesco Guidolin.
Domenec Torrent is known for being a long term assistant coach for Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola. The 59-year-old has worked with Guardiola in his stint at Barca, Bayern Munich and Man City. He quit working with Guardiola in 2018 when he left City to take over New York City FC for one season before he joined Brazilian side Flamengo.
Alain Giresse is known for coaching African countries like Gabon, Mali, Senegal and recently Tunisia where he left the role in August 2019.
