Twitter Denies Suspending Nicki Minaj’s Account For Speading Covid-19 Rumours

Rapper Nicki Minaj is claiming Twitter locked off access to her account Wednesday, two days after she suggested without any evidence a Covid-19 vaccine caused her cousin’s friend in Trinidad to become impotent, but Twitter says it did not take action against Minaj.

In a Wednesday evening message posted to her Instagram story, Minaj said she was placed in “Twitter jail” and prevented from tweeting, a claim that drew sympathetic response from fans and pundits alike

But a Twitter spokesperson denied Minaj’s claim Wednesday, telling Fintech Zoom the tech company “did not take any enforcement action on the account referenced.”

Twitter also told Fintech Zoom Minaj’s initial tweets about coronavirus vaccine side effects earlier this week did not violate the site’s rules governing Covid related claims.
