I Was Paid Just 10 Cedis As The Main Character of ‘Taxi Driver’- TT

Ghanaian actor Psalm Adjeteyfio has revealed he was paid just 10 cedis in the popular Taxi Driver series that aired on TV in the late 90s.

According to him, he was cheated as the main character of the show. Speaking to Metro TV, the ailing veteran actor said he was supposed to be paid 30 cedis instead.

“I was paid 100,000 cedis which is now 10 cedis. Not knowing that at that time, the late John Kay had instructed them that they should pay me 300,000 per episode. But they were paying me 100,000 per episode. So someone was stealing my 200,000,” he said.

He added that meanwhile Mikki Osei Berko who was seen the main character of the series was paid 300,000 per episode.

TT, as he is affectionately called, recently begged public in an interview for money to pay his rent. The vice president Mahamudu Bawumia came to his aid, donating 50,000 cedis to him.
