Congratulations are in order for Nigerian-American actor and singer Rotimi and fianceé, Vanessa Mdee as they welcome their first child, Seven Adeoluwa Akinosho.
The news of the arrival of the baby comes weeks after the couple announced they were expecting a child.
The “Power” star actor and Tanzanian singer both shared a photo of their hands gently holding that of the baby as they unveil his name in a social media post.
Rotimi and Vanessa got engaged in December 2020.
Rotimi who was born in Maplewood, New Jersey, is of Nigerian descent. His father an investment banker of Yoruba origin and his mother of Igbo origin, working for the government.
He attended Columbia High School, where he was a standout on both the varsity basketball team and the honors choir. He continued his studies at Northwestern University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Business in 2010.
The 32-year-old is known for his role as Darius Morrison on the Starz series Boss, and starred as Andre Coleman on Power.
