Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has denied allegations made by the second wife of slain journalist Ahmed Suale that Anas and his Tiger Eye investigative company has neglected her and the kids since her husband’s tragic demise.
Speaking on Facebook live on Iqra show, the second wife of Suale stated that life has been extremely hard for her and the four kids of Suale who was assassinated in 2019.
She said she is not able to pay the kids school fees and has moved them to a government school. She also stated that she doesn’t have a place to live on her own and is currently perching with her sister.
“I left Accra here all alone back to the north but over there too, things were not happening, life was not easy … I came back to Accra and right now I am perching with my sister while I go to the market to get something small,” she said.
But responding to the claims made by second wife of Ahmed Suale, Anas and Tiger Eye in a statement said all that she said was absolute lies.
According to the statement that was shared on the official page of Anas, the wives and children of Ahmed Suale have been catered for since his demise.
Tiger Eye disclosed that in 2019, they “gave a lump sum donation to the family in the presence of Ahmed’s two wives.”
They also added that a business contract was secured for the wives to invest in to be able look after themselves in the long run.
On claims that Suale’s children had to be moved from their previous school because the wives couldn’t pay their fees, Tiger stated that they have been paying for the school of the kids since their father’s death.
