Ghanaian Lawmaker Sam George Defends Ghana’s Draconian Anti LGBTQ+ Bill On CNN

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Honorable Sam George during an interview with CNN spoke in defense of Ghana’s draconian anti LGBTQ+ bill.

The bill, titled ” Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values” would see homosexuals face a jail time or be coerced into a “conversion therapy”. A practice widely condemned by most international medical and psychiatric communities.

In a conversation with Cable News Network (CNN), the lawmaker revealed that the parliament of Ghana would not give in to the pressure for the legalization of same-sex marriage in the country.

According to Sam George who has been very firm in his stance concerning the LGBTQ+ there is no way LGBTQ will be accepted as it is an alien practice to the Ghanaian culture and will never be allowed to find fertile grounds in the country.

Sam George who was put under pressure by the journalist to see a reason why homosexuality should be accepted in the Ghanaian society stood his ground about his view on the banning of LGBTQ in Ghana.

The bill if passed into law would see the LGBTQ community face up to 10 years in prison if they are caught displaying same-sex affection in public.
