Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has revealed he has joined Chinese club, a Chinese Club Qingdao FC.
Following the expiration of his contract with Verona, there rumours on the internet that Agyemang Badu will retire from football.
But in an interview with Isaac Worlanyo Wallace of Rainbow Radio, Agyemang Badu stated that he has only quit internal football and not club football.
“I have Signed for Qingdao in China, I have not quit football it is the national team that I have quit not club football,” he said.
According to him, his contract with the Chinese club is about 85% completed and the deal will be finalized as soon as the documentation is thorough.
Agyemang Badu, 30, is regarded as one of the best Ghanaian midfielders of his generation. He has played for top clubs like Asante Kotoko, Recreativo, Udinese and Verona.
Badu has played 78 matches for Ghana, scoring 11 goals.
