‘I’m Still Scared Of Gymnastics’- Simone Biles

Simone Biles broke down in tears while discussing her mental health and struggles to rediscover her form on Today Show on Thursday.

According to Simone, who is widely regarded as the greatest gymnast of all time, after the Tokyo Olympics games, she is now finding it difficult doing stunts she used to do easily throughout her career.

“To do something that I’ve done forever and just not be able to do it because of everything I’ve gone through is really crazy because I love this sport so much,” she told Today show host Hoda Kotb, while fighting back tears.

“It’s hard. I’m sorry. And I don’t think people understand the magnitude of what I go through, but for so many years to go through everything that I’ve gone through having a front, I’m proud of myself.”

She added that it was the mental health issues she was going through that caused her withdrawal from multiple events at the Tokyo Olympics last summer.

Biles, who is back as the headliner of the Gold Over America Tour, said she has no regret for dropping out of events at the Olympics.

“I wouldn’t change anything for the world,” she said. “I think everything happens for a reason.”
