Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has asked American pop superstar Beyonce for a collaboration.
The afro-pop star wants the Single Ladies hit maker to jump on the remix of her latest single “Heat”.
She made the request on Twitter after arriving in New York City.
“Just landed in New York City @Beyonce let’s link up and do HEAT remix. #KromAy3Shi,” she tweeted.
Wendy Shay’s “Heat” has been her most successful single this year—so it is not surprising she wants to feature the biggest female artiste in the world on the remix.
The song, despite its success, has not been without controversies, as many feel it is shade against top female celebrities in Ghana like Serwaa Amihere and Nana Aba Anamoah.
But in an interview with YFM, she stated that the song is not targeted at anyone.
“This is a deep song and this is a song I want to leave to the consumers for them to digest and also take their point of view. I want everybody to be able to decode how they understand the songs by themselves. I never mentioned any names,” she said.
