Andre Ayew Wins First Title With Al Sadd SC

Ghana captain Andre Dede Ayew has won his first trophy with his new club Al Sadd SC after helping the club to lift the Amir Cup on Friday.

The 31-year-old, who played 80 minutes, helped his club to win the Emir Cup by beating Al Rayyan 5-4 on penalties to be crowned champions.

Ayew has been in sensational form for Al Sadd since leaving Swansea on a free transfer last summer. The former Marseille player has already scored six goals in seven matches for the Quatari club.

After winning his first title with the club, the Ghanaian international took to social media to thank his teammates for fighting hard to beat their rivals.

“Emir cup winners Palms up together Alhamdulilah Palms up together @AlsaddSC. never give up we keep going! What a squad!! Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to win a title with 1 game! Allah bless you all White circleBlack circlePalms up together,” he tweeted.

And in the post-match interview with beIN Sports, the forward said he was “happy and proud” to have won his first trophy in Quatari football. He also praised the atmosphere at the game, saying it was “unbelievable”.
