Jesus Ahuofe Granted Bail Over Shatta Wale Hoax Shooting

Leader of New Life Kingdom Chapel International, Stephen Akwasi popularly known as Jesus Ahuofe had been granted a ¢100,000 bail by an Accra Circuit Court.

The man of God pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing fear and panic.

Jesus Ahuofe was arrested over prophesying that musician Shatta Wale will be killed. He told Accra FM presenter Nana Romeo that the dancehall star will be shot dead on October 18, 2021, likening the assassination to that of reggae legend Lucky Dube who was shot on October 18, 2007.

But on the day that he revealed to be the date of his prophecy’s manifestation, Shatta Wale faked his gun attack. His PRO, Nana Dope disclosed on social media that the dancehall musician has been shot by two unknown gun men at East Legon and was in critical condition.

The police investigations into the alleged shooting incident led to the arrest of Shatta Wale and Jesus Ahuofe.

Jesus Ahuofe was arrested by the police on October 19 at the premises of Accra FM while preparing for an interview on the station’s mid-morning show.

Jesus Ahuofe following his bail is expected to reappear on October 29, 2021 and also to report to the police every Monday and Thursday.
