Shatta Wale and Medikal Granted Bail

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and rapper, Medikal, have been granted a ¢100,000 bail each by an Accra Circuit court.

Shatta, who has been charged with publishing false news and causing fear and panic, appeared before the Accra Circuit court over his hoax shooting incident.

The dancehall musician was arrested after his PRO Nana Dope and some members of his team posted on their social media pages that he has been shot by an unknown gunmen at East Legon and was in critical condition.

He was then remanded by the Accra Circuit court for five days.

Medikal, who interestingly was one of the leaders of the #FreeShattaWale movement, and even supported him court, was arrested for brandishing gun on social media.

The husband of actress Fella Makafui on Friday, October 22, was also remanded by an Accra Circuit Court for five days in prison custody although he pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful display of arms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, the leader of New Life Kingdom Chapel International, Stephen Akwasi popularly known as Jesus Ahuofe had been granted a ¢100,000 bail by an Accra Circuit Court.

Jesus Ahuofe was arrested over prophesying that musician Shatta Wale will be killed. He told Accra FM presenter Nana Romeo that the dancehall star will be shot dead on October 18, 2021, likening the assassination to that of reggae legend Lucky Dube who was shot on October 18, 2007.
