Police Officers Who Take And Citizens Who Offer Bribe Will Be Punished – ACP Kwesi Ofori

The pride and respect of the Ghana Police Service is finally coming back under the able stewardship of Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampaare and most importantly he has been able to get those underneath him to buy into his vision and mission the the Ghana police force

The Acting Director General of the Ghana Police Service’s Public Affairs Directorate, ACP Kwesi Ofori has sent a loud and clear warning to citizens and colleagues alike that they days of offering and accepting bribes are over and whoever engages in such acts and is caught will be smiling at the wrong sides of their mouths as they would be forced to bear the full weight of the law

ACP Kwesi Ofori on Joy News stated that the current administration headed by Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare is keen to ensure corrupt practices in the country ceased.

“We are aspiring to make our nation great and strong. The giver and taker should be punished by law. I believe that the law has spoken well of it. Looking at what is happening in the police, our new IGP has rolled out so many programs. During his visit, he noted anti-corruption is one of his visions to ensure we detach ourselves from such unholy practices,” he said on Saturday.

ACP Kwesi Ofori used the opportunity to call on the support of the citizenry on the current administration of the Ghana Police Service as the police is the citizens best friend and the only way to ensure the protection of both life and property is when the public cooperate and work with the police force.
