Sergio Aguero Could Be Forced Into Early Retirement Amid Arrhythmia Heart Problems

Following Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Alaves in LaLiga on October 30th, Sergio Aguero was diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia. The 33-year-old Argentine international was only a few weeks into his Barcelona career when he suffered the health problem during a match against Alaves and was rushed to the hospital.

After the game and upon medical review Barcelona issued the following statement: “Sergio Aguero has undergone a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure by Dr. Josep Brugada…He is out and for the next three months the effectiveness of the treatment will be evaluated to determine his recovery process.”

Now according to the latest updates on his condition preview to standupgh.com, the football star could be forced into an early retirement. The player responding to the news of a possible early retirement has indicated that he is still fairly optimistic of playing again soon and is following strictly the guidelines set for him by Barcelona team doctors

This is what he had to say, “Given the rumors, I want to inform all of you that I am following the indications of the club’s doctors, doing tests and treatment and seeing my progress within 90 days. Always positive.”

Sergio Aguero has just recently begun to integrate into the Barcelona fold after missing the first quarter of the season due to injury. Aguero only appeared in four league games for Barcelona before his cardiac arrhythmia was identified.
