England Book A Place At The 2022 Qatar World Cup With A 10-0 Thumping Of San Marino

The three lions led by Gareth Southgate have officially booked their slot into the 2022 Qatar World Cup after a resounding 10-0 victory over San Marino in which captain and talisman striker Harry Kane scored four goals on the night to ensure it was all smiles after the final whistle was blown.

England only needed a point against the lowest ranked footballing nation to secure their place in next year’s World Cup but decided to flex their muscle to show to the World the gaping gap between the two nations and ultimately gave San Marino a 10-0 hiding.

Manchester United captain and defender, Harry Maguire opened the scoring on the night with a sixth-minute header but Harry Kane was not to be outshone by a defender while he was on the pitch and took over the scoring and put four past the San Marino keeper by the end of the game

Harry Kane’s four goals exploits against San Marino follows his perfect hatrick against Albania, a game in which he score with his head, left and right foot. The other English players to register their names on the score sheet were Arsenal’s Emile Smith-Rowe, Tyrone Mings, Tammy Abraham and Bukayo Saka. One of the goals against San Marino was an own goal scored by Filippo Fabbri.

San Marino ended the game with 10 men however as Dante Rossi was sent off for accumulation of two yellow cards but by then the game was already lost as they were trailing 7 goals to nil.
