BECE Candidates Conveyed In Excavator To Exam Centres To Overcome Bad Roads

The 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) ended today but not without exposing some of the problems this country faces. The annual examination which was written by a total of 571,894 candidates in the country started Monday, November 15 and the curtains were drawn on the examination today, Friday, November 19, 2021.

The examination, which serves as a venue to evaluate students progressing from the basic cycle to the secondary cycle, helps a computerized system to place students into various Senior High Schools across the country based on their qualification.

And while others wrote the exams with little or no stress, others by virtue of where they were born or the schools they attended or centres they wrote the exams, had to endanger their lives just to make sure they were present to write the all important examination.

Images that have surfaced online have shown that some students had to be conveyed using excavators just so they could overcome bad roads which in the images we have had been flooded by rain.

It is unfortunate any student has to go through such a life endangering experience just to write and exam, it is our prayer at standupgh.com that their efforts are not in vain and that they get the best of results to put them in a better position to better their lives. We wish all those who partook in the BECE the very best of luck.
