Messi, Ronaldo And Salah In Contention For FIFA Best Men’s Player Award

The world football governing body, the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has released a shortlist of players in contention for the award of FIFA Best men’s award. Football legendary duo, Messi and Ronaldo both made it to the shortlist and will once do battle for the FIFA men’s best player award.

They are joined on the list by Liverpool’s in form African Egyptian striker, Mohammed Salah. The three players are leading names 11 other footballing names in contention for the prestigious award. Other players on the list are last year’s winner, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, Machester City player Kevin De Bruyne and Chelsea duo, Jorginho and Nkolo Kante.

Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, Borrusia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Paris Saint Germain strike pair, Neymar and Mbappe completer the 11 man list for the FIFA Best Men’s player award.

Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, Tottenham’s Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel, Germany’s Hansi Flick and Italy coach, Roberto Mancini, who guided Italy to the Euro 2020 title have all been nominated on FIFA Best Men’s Coach shortlist.

There are also categories for FIFA Best Men’s Goalkeeper. Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy. Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Liverpool’s Alison Becker amongst others make up the shortlist. The are also various categories for women’s football including FIFA Best Female Player Award and FIFA Best Women’s player award
