President Akufo Addo Donates GHC1m As Stimulus To Accra Hearts Of Oak

President Akufo Addo has donated a sum of GHC1 million to defending champions of Ghana premier league as a stimulus package ahead of their Confederations Cup campaign.

Addressing the visiting delegation of Accra Hearts of Oak that paid a courtesy call on him at the Flagstaff house, the President of the Republic said that it is an open secret that he is a die hard fan of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the rivalry between the two clubs and their fans will not prevent him from wishing Accra Hearts of Oak well in their Confederation Cup campaign, as if they do well it is the country and the Ghana premier league that has done well.

Leader of the Accra Hearts of Oak delegation that paid a visit to the President and who also doubles as Board Member of the football club, Vincent Sowah Odotei in his remarks, expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the entire Ghana football association to the president following his support during the aftermath of the Number 12 expose of Anas Aremeyaw Anas which left the football association between a rock and a hard place.

He also commended the competent leadership of the incumbent in the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has ensured that Ghana football clubs can at least fill 25% capacity of their stadiums comparing it to other African nations which are still playing in empty stadiums.
